Odoo 18 Manufacturing Introduction

*Build, Repair, Maintain…Let’s Go!* Leading Odoo’s MRP suite is the Manufacturing app, enabling scalable production and operational capacity to millions of materials businesses worldwide. Odoo Manufacturing works as a standalone work order solution (accompanied with the Shop Floor kiosk app), or as part of a larger integrated supply-chain system that grows with your business. Manufacturing works hand-in-hand with procurement and warehouse operations, shop floor workcenters, repair and maintenance orders, quality control, product engineering, and much more. Each manufacturing order is informed by sales order information, bill of materials components, and sequential supply-chain operations for an easy hand-off further along or away from the production floor. Finally, for mature businesses or ones planning multi-month runways (such as in the case of a new product launch), the Master Production Schedule is the forecasting tool you need to lock in that growth at a steady and predictable pace. *With Odoo Manufacturing, you can:* • Build complex bills of materials (BoMs) that contain various component types and quantities, such as raw materials, consumables, and subassemblies that carry their own nested BoMs. • Plan manufacturing orders, sequentially or in batches, based on component availability or unbuild orders entirely to repurpose components to accommodate new or shifting priorities. • Scrap components, perform quality checks, or request maintenance even while in the middle of production. • Pull detailed reports around overall equipment efficiency (OEE), production analysis, and work order analysis by workcenter, product, and more. • Configure sequential operational steps and quality checks for workcenter operators, with supplemental product attachments and worksheets. • Enable and track employee workcenter usage by time, labor cost, and materials consumed. • Incorporate various subcontracting flows that involve semi-finished goods, including supplied or dropshipped materials to vendors. • Set up automated RfQs when materials run low below preconfigured thresholds, or when demand spikes beyond normal ranges, to limit blocks in material availability. • Sync production operations with Sales and Inventory triggers, such as in the cases of made-to-order (MTO) goods and just-in-time (JIT) workflows. • Integrate product engineering and continuous improvement cycles seamlessly using the PLM app. • Perform advanced operations such as tracking and reusing by-products, integrating lots and serial numbers with Barcode, splitting and merging MOs, creating backorders, and more! • Keep track of material operations connected to sales orders, bridging the gap between sales, supply chain, production, and internal project teams. • Communicate with customers and internal users right from the chatter. Keep detailed logs of product operations and updates, including carbon copy emails and generated PDFs. Odoo Manufacturing is a reliable, over-performing production application for businesses of any size, and plays well with the other applications in Odoo’s sales and production suites, including: Sales/Subscriptions, PoS, Website/eCommerce, Inventory, Repairs, Maintenance, Barcode, Quality, Purchase, and Projects. *Pricing* All of Odoo's applications are free to use under the Community (open-source) version and One App Free plans. Standard and Custom pricing starts at about $25 per user on the Enterprise/SaaS version, which includes a bunch of extra features along with optional cloud hosting, which is included for free. *Reimagine production— try Manufacturing for free* Try Odoo Manufacturing as a standalone app, or add as many Odoo apps as you want in a free trial: https://www.odoo.com/r/manufacturing-free-trial *Shopping around?* Check out our amazing pricing: https://www.odoo.com/r/manufacturing-pricing *Help us make Odoo better!* Join the repo on GitHub: https://www.github.com/odoo/ Thanks for watching, and we hope to see you in the Tutorials comments! 🤘 *Documentation* Learn how to use the Manufacturing app by checking out the user documentation: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/latest/applications/inventory_and_mrp/manufacturing.html
